If they were truly holy this world would have become a holy place a long time ago. I must say that these books do contain some great insights about “the nature of reality” – yet these are overwhelmingly surrounded by a sheer amount of stupidity and unholy beLIEfs and moral-ties.
How can possibly a so called “holy book” be full of “unholy” dogmas and ideas that are extremely contradictory to what is real/here?
If these “holy books” are indeed holy, why do those that follow it can’t even agree on what is the book’s “meaning” and therefore can’t even agree with each other?
These books contractic themselves – thus those who read it retain a contradictory “sense” about them (according to the reader’s “personality”) therefore disagree with each other.
Maybe these books are indeed “holy”, but the word “holy” hasn’t been understood: they are “holy” because they have a big “hole” in them and it leaves each person that reads it and believes it with a hole that can only be filled with the IMAGE-ination and faith of a “God” that shows no sign of ever possibly do anything about the atrocities that take place in this world.
Its about time we stop placing our trust and faith in books written by dead man long ago and start trusting ourselves ONLY and take responsibility for the mess we have created = do what is best for all.

it sounds like you have it all figure out, and that you think things carefully. but been a man of strong faith highly disagree with you i can tell that you have a good heart and i could even say that if more peolpe had you're frame mind these world would be a better place having no faith is having no hope nothong to look forward to but that book is holy because our GOD our Creator inspire humans to write it He is Holy. if we haven't done it justice is because in his Love he gave us freedom so just as a Father lets a child try his own path. yes we should be better and yes we can't agree on stuff but is us we are the problem not the book The Holy book. sorry we have made that confusion but i pray we can make the difference. we learn from the past, live today, prepare for a better tomorrow
